JEROME SOIMAUD: AYITI KRIYE
YEELEN ART GALLERY

Today the need to step up for Haiti remains topical, the Haïtian people are still suffering and as the rain season passes they will face even greater damage and loss of life.

Yeelen Art Gallery in its efforts to shed light on the situation has decided to present an online exhibition.

The onilne exhibition displays twelve triptychs by artist Jerome Soimaud, incorporating photographs of Vaudou ceremonies and those taken in Port au Prince after the earthquake.

Ayiti Kriye initiates a Vaudou mass for Haïti, as a reference to the ceremony of Bois Caïman which symbolizes the union in the Haïtian collective subconscious.

Yeelen Art Gallery will display five of the triptychs from Ayiti Kriye begining October 9th, 2010.

Each triptych is comprised of 60 x 126 in (150 x 300 cm).
Works may be viewed by appointment : info@yeelenart.com
